The fusion beverage pairing ($265 for the table) featuring a selection of cocktails, wines and spirits curated by Zamulinsky keeps things buoyant. The BOND room invites you to enjoy music from Orlando’s most celebrated DJs, experience the spectacular dancing Bond Girls, Friday ladies night, and to lavishly reinvent yourself at the monthly themed parties. These after-dinner events are available through reservation only and are open to the public with exclusive cover charges Friday and Saturday nights 10 pm until 2 am. Upon arrival at the valet, I was greeted by employees dressed in British attire, including black top hats and long red coats. A small, yet elegant lobby greeted me once inside. Now we're really stuffed, but next we're asked to choose between a blue pill or a red pill. British chef Rikku O’Donnchu is the culinary power behind Immersion. Time in several Michelin-starred kitchens has shown him how to add details beyond just crazy-fun food to the experience. And so, once you enter the foreboding door and sign a legal form promising to keep your camera tucked away, you’ll be walked to a drawing room—like in the movies.
He even uses fish pulp to craft a delicate wafer flecked with sesame seeds. I suppose if there's anything a stage at Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck will teach you, it's that tricking the palate in theatrical fashion can open the eyes, and Ó'Donnchü revels in theatrics at Immersion. I'm not exaggerating when I say Immersion's tasting menu is the priciest in town ($360.50, not including beverage pairings), but there's also nothing quite like it either. Then the group walked together to one of London House’s many small private rooms. Ours happened to be clubby; another group’s was a brighter, less formal space. Bathrooms are not part of normal date night conversation, but these deserve their own category because they are that amazing!
—the cigar was really bread that looked exactly like a cigar. At the table, another server brought a smoky glass canister, then took off the top to let the aromatic smoke waft out. Inside was a black garlic butter dip sprinkled an orange-colored spice. We swiped the cigar, took a bite … it tasted phenomenal.
